We continued our lesson about God using ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Our study focused on David this week. We learned how God looks at the heart ... not the clothes, the job, the hair color, etc. David was a shepherd and God chose him to be the king! The children made crowns (ie - king) with jewels that had things on them that made them special! They made heart necklaces (God looks at the heart) with their memory verse on it. They had paper dolls of David as a shepherd and they dressed him in crown and cape to make him a king! They also made puppets that went with the story. One side was the shepherd and the other was the king. They would hold up the side that corresponded with the part of the story. It was another incredible hands-on learning Sunday. We are so blessed to have such INCREDIBLE volunteers and CHILDREN!! I love watching how beautifully God has blessed our Preschoolers!

GREAT Sunday. The 4's and 5's got to start working out of their workbooks. We have so many hands on activities right now that we don't what to do but be thankful! Diane Ury was our Bible leader who was absolutely unbelievable. She did SUCH a great job! Our children are having so much fun and so are the volunteers! This energy is overflowing in our Preschool! Our 3's in Praise Patch and 4's and 5's in Children's Worship were further brought into the lesson through a DVD puppet lesson with activities. They are having the best time!

Happy Labor Day weekend!!! We had a great Sunday at Christ United in the Children's Wing. We were studying about Moses and the burning bush. They used a cut out coloring sheet to put their Bible verse in order and help them memorize it. They got to add crepe flames to the burning bush. They learned about how to listen to God when he talks by listening to the teachers tell them what color to use on the another burning bush picture. They did games learning to listen and games with their shoes off because Moses had been on Holy Ground and had taken his shoes off! Thank you to our WONDERFUL volunteers!! They got to start their DVD learning as well as the Bible lesson in Sunday school. The 3's got to also make puppets during Praise Patch.
We will begin work in their workbooks next week so please check and make sure that you guys are on the roll!
