VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION LUNCH!
Don't forget to check the Children's Ministry blog (there is a link to it on the left side of this page) to see pictures from the Volunteer Appreciation lunch. It was an amazing fellowship!
July 29, 2007 - Sunday School and Praise Patch
What wonderful volunteers we have!!! Thank you all for coming and sharing with our children. We learned about self-control. They made awards for themselves that read "I am in control of my words and actions." At this age ... they don't have control over so much, so finding out that they could be control was a great idea to them! We then taught them about making the right choices just like Daniel did when preparing himself by eating well (not like the donuts we were passing out or the fried chicken we served at the Volunteer Appreciation! ha ha!). This was this last Fruit of the Spirit for them. So they went over the Fruits of the Spirit again in review and each class created their own Fruit of the Spirit tree. It was another wonderful Sunday with our angels!

THE WISHY WOZ!
The Wishy Woz was a WONDERFUL success! It was a Family Night enjoyed by all. The children were so precious to watch as they interacted and learned from the puppet show. We ate dinner together with our friends and children and then were entertained and inspired by these talented teens! They travel all over putting this puppet show on ... and we consider ourselves very blessed to have had this group at Christ United! It was SO much fun!

July 15, 2007 - Sunday School and Praise Patch
hank you to all of our volunteers this week! Things were wonderful and the kids got a GREAT lesson! We are learning about the Fruits of the Spirit and this week was a focus on FAITHFULNESS! Mechelle Stockett was our incredible Bible Teacher and did this wonderful story and set up a great skit for the children. They got hands on learning from a wonderful teacher. Thank you Mechelle! The children during Sunday School made a big scroll together as a class. They put things on the scroll that they thought would represent God's rules and faithfulness. They wrote Bible verses, drew pictures and put cut-outs on them. They were precious! They were hung in the 2 and 3 year olds pods! Then in Praise Patch - they continued by making their own personal scrolls! Our Bible verse this week was: "The Lord has set apart the faithful for himself. Psalm 4:3" Our children are growing in so many ways! It's a blessing to be a part of!
