Christ United / Little Lighthouse Christmas Party!

Saturday morning Christ United held a Christmas party in honor and with the children of the Little Lighthouse. This is our local mission project and the donations were rolling in! Thank you to all who supported this precious school. We were able to also buy them a laminator!! As usual, the Children's Ministry team had a GREAT time and loved seeing the fun on the children's faces! The children made ornaments, hand painted a wreath, decorated cookies, made candy cane crafts, colored, had a game room, had a live Nativity and then all gathered together for an Instant Christmas Program ... which was a wonderful way to go over the Christmas Story and get every person participating in a part! It was a wonderful success!

Joseph's Dream

This Sunday was all about ANGELS! The angel came to Joseph in his dream to tell him to take Mary as his wife ... and they would give birth to God's son. The children were so curious and entertaining to watch as they discussed angels. They made beautiful ornament angels for their trees at home with GLITTER wings and angels on their shoulders! It was a GREAT lesson and SO much fun to see through their precious eyes! Check out the calender to keep up with what lessons are coming up!

Family ADVENTure

The Children's Ministry helped kick off the Advent season with a fun Family ADVENTure! Wednesday night the Fellowship Hall was filled with families of all ages and sizes to share in a dinner, cookie swap, carol singing, BINGO games and then each family got to build a wooden manger scene to take home to enjoy throughout the Season! It was a wonderful experience and a great way to begin this Advent season remembering the reason for all of the Christmas excitement! Family Advent books were given out with activities and devotions for each day throughout the Advent Season. Moses led his people right through that sea!

I just LOVE our curriculum! The children got a wonderful hands on lesson about how Moses lead the people through the sea!! Look how much fun they are having and what a great project they put together!
